CHEF’S NOTE
A good chocolate cake never goes out of style – but I wanted ours to be more than just rich and sweet. The idea of pairing it with sour cherries came from my own love for dark chocolate and fruit – I've always found that tartness brings out the depth in cocoa. This cake is my version of comfort with character: familiar, but with a little edge.
